I was forced to move my American Idol Blog from shared hosting to a more expensive hosting account. I tried a dedicated server for $130.00 a month and was only able to have 200 concurrent connections without having serious issues. I tried grid hosting and even media temple. Nothing worked. At my last host I was kindly directed to mosso. On April 26th I moved my site from there to mosso and I couldn't be happier.
Of course I have had a few outages here and there but I will admit I have been able to get on my blog at least 99% of the time in the past month and I am always on. Plus mosso was able to handle my traffic. Mind you I am not a huge blog or anything but I do have some fans. On performance and results night for American Idol I can have anywhere from 200 to 400 people online since I do live play by play. Mosso was able to support this with no problem. Tonight was the finale and at peak time I had 789 people online and the blog moved like a breeze. My hats off to mosso. I think they have done a wonderful job. Yes the control panel lacks a lot of the bells and whistles of shared hosting or even a dedicated box but hey I wanted to be online and mosso made that happen.
By the way support is by far the best
